A Spanish immigrant by the name of Don Jaime Partagas built a cigar factory situated in Havana, Cuba. Don envisioned that he wanted to create the best cigar-line in the world. He started bringing his vision to life by buying the best tobacco plantations over the years. When the brand launched in 1845, it was an immediate hit. By 1950, the Partagas cigar was the 2nd best Cuban cigar in the world. There are two types of Partagas cigars. The Dominican Partagas and the Cuban Partagas. Both these cigars vary slightly, but many can distinguish each cigar individually. The Dominican cigar is nutty in flavour and earthy in taste. The Cuban cigar is robust in taste and burns a unique sweet-smelling aroma when smoked.
