Description
The culebra is one of the oldest and strangest shapes in cigar making: three cigars rolled while still soft, twisted around each other into a braid, tied at both ends and dried in that position. The story is that factory rollers were given three cigars a day as part of their pay, and braiding them made it obvious if anyone took more than their share.
They are meant to be untwisted and smoked separately — one each, with two friends — although each cigar keeps its curve and will always be a slightly wayward smoke. That is the point.
El Pulpo’s blend underneath is the same earthy, peppery profile as the rest of the range, and the culebra format gives it a slightly looser, faster burn.
Sold as a pack of three cigars.
