Description

Cigar Aficionado gave the Davidoff Puro Dominicano Short Robusto 91 points, praising its rich taste and smooth construction. Measuring 4½ inches by a 52 ring gauge, this Short Robusto offers a strength of 4 out of 5 and an approximate smoking time of 40 minutes. Its compact format makes it well suited to short breaks, slow meals, relaxed evenings, or a quiet after-dinner smoke.

Davidoff uses exclusively Dominican tobacco for this cigar. The wrapper, binder, and filler all come from the Dominican Republic, with the blend bringing together leaves from six different growing areas. Together, the tobaccos have been aged for 32 years, adding depth, balance, and a notably smooth character to the smoking experience. The result is a rich and refined cigar that remains firmly rooted in the character of Dominican tobacco.

The opening draws reveal dark chocolate, brown sugar, and dried fruit. As the cigar develops, notes of leather, biscuit, and roasted nuts begin to emerge. Cream and warm spice then add further depth and complexity. The 52 ring gauge provides a generous, full-feeling draw, while the shorter length allows the flavours to develop quickly without requiring a long smoking session.

Despite its richness, the smoke remains smooth and approachable. The final stages bring together cocoa, roasted nuts, cream, and gentle spice, leaving a balanced and satisfying finish.

Overall, the Davidoff Puro Dominicano Short Robusto delivers a full and complex flavour experience in a convenient format. Its pure Dominican blend, carefully aged tobaccos, refined construction, and 91-point rating make it an excellent choice for both experienced cigar enthusiasts and those looking for a premium cigar that can be enjoyed in around 40 minutes.

A refined choice for after dinner, a quiet evening, or a thoughtful gift, this Short Robusto combines rich flavour, fine craftsmanship, and the distinctive character of Dominican tobacco in a compact and elegant format.
